Parthenon secures 40 hours of programming in Latin America

Brazilian TV network, TV Globo has acquired a 10 hour package, including Sport Science (10 x 60’ HD), which gives viewers an insight into the international world of sport. In each episode, peak performers explore the limits of physical ability and willpower.

Further deals were secured with fellow Brazilian TV network, TV Cultura. The network acquired 14 hours of programming, including the award-winning, Wild Russia (7 x 60’ HD), Ultimate Journeys Iceland (1 x 60’ HD) and Cuba: Accidental Eden (1 x60’ HD).

In addition, Argentinean broadcaster, Educar TV, acquired 15.5 hours of programming, including Zoo Juniors (13 x 30’) a heart-wrenching series that follows the births and first steps of different animal species in zoos across Berlin, and pre-school animation, Castle Farm (25 x 5’), recently shown on Milkshake! on Five in the UK.

Commenting on the deals, Andrea Zarzecki, Sales Manager at Parthenon Entertainment, said:

“Latin America is becoming one of the fastest growing territories for Parthenon. We are looking forward to meeting more producers and broadcasters at NATPE where we will be showcasing more of our top new factual and children’s titles.”
