Parthenon Entertainment Ltd was founded by Carl Hall, formerly MD of HIT Wildlife, in 2002.  In January 2008, Parthenon Entertainment Group was formed following a merger with UK rights company, Entara Ltd.

Parthenon Entertainment Group is one of the UK’s leading production and distribution companies.  Boasting a library of award-winning factual entertainment and children’s programming in excess of 1200 hours, which is distributed to broadcasters across the world, Parthenon also produces over 100 hours of original programming each year, the majority of which is in HD. It also manages and represents a range of international properties across its worldwide licensing agency network.

With its headquarters based in Chorleywood, which also serves as its production offices, the company has grown to accommodate offices in London, from where it manages its distribution, post-production, licensing and children’s divisions. It also has production offices in Bristol, a European sales office in Munich and recently acquired a minority share in Canadian production company, Arcadia Entertainment.
